Alisha Eckman always wanted to spend her time creating. She’s a lover of bright, vibrant colors but also a huge fan of nature in all of its beauty. So, she created Alisha Eckman Art & Design.
Alisha grew up in the quiet state of Maine, alongside the Atlantic shore and spent many summer days combing the beaches for shells, stones and sea glass to either paint or display in her home or garden. “I still make an effort to visit the ocean regularly and much of my work is heavily influenced by the crashing waves,” she says.
“To me, my art is a physical representation of what my mind is doing when I’m in a meditative headspace. If you look deeply into an artwork, you’ll see a piece of me, or many, because each one literally has a piece of my heart and soul infused within it. Usually the most common emotion a piece exudes is calm serenity or energy, as I feel my art reflects the brightest and most youthful sides of me. My dad is in spirit and I can feel him with me often when I paint and create. I just love that.”
Alisha is both a full-time, stay-at-home mom while running her entire art business by herself. “I’m a mama of two of the world’s cutest, silliest, sweetest, naughtiest, busiest, little boys,” she says. “My husband is a badass pilot who flies airplanes for a living and I feel incredibly grateful.”
“If you look at my work and feel inspired to make some of your own, I’m here to tell you that you CAN do it! Take the plunge and dive in!” she says. “I absolutely love helping others succeed and find a great sense of satisfaction by helping someone else achieve their goals and dreams.”
